The Epson Expression Home XP-410 is compact and lightweight but feels sturdy. It is perfect for families and students with limited space. It comes with a great designed; the build is all black with nice quality color for such an affordable printer.

The Expression Home XP-410 may look like just a simple inkjet printer when you first unbox it, but dig a little deeper and you will discover a whole lot more. Compact, powerful and packed with features, the XP-410 includes a 2.5-inch color LCD and touch panel, memory card slots, Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct.

Compare to its brother, the XP-310 lacks of intuitive touch panel, this XP-410 outshines it with a brilliant 2.5-inch color LCD with touch panel for simple set-up and navigation.

Speed and Quality

This inkjet 3-in-1 offers print, copy and scan functions in one compact . The XP-410 is able to print out in high quality at the maximum resolution of 5760 x 1440 optimized dpi. The ISO print speed offers up to 8.7 ppm in black and 4.5 ppm in color, delivering a minimum ink droplet size of 3 picoliters. The flatbed scanner offers scan resolution up to 1200 dpi optical (10,200 x 14,040 dpi interpolated) to reproduce exact colors.

Ease of use

Setup is easy and the 2.5″ color LCD with touch panel is user friendly. The wireless feature is very convenient without a cord. There are no wires or even complicated menus to worry about. The XP-410 also features PC-free printing as well. With built-in card slots, you can print photos from your digital camera by inserting memory card into the slot and print, no PC needed.

Since it is an entry-level inkjet printer, so no automatic document feeder (ADF) and duplex printing on offer. If you need this duplex function, you have to go for Expression Premium like XP-610 and XP-810.

Paper handling

The XP-410 houses a paper tray on the top which holds up to 100 sheets of plain paper, while the paper-output tray located at the front. It supports multiple paper-types including envelopes, plain paper, photo paper and more.


The XP-410 supports the complete wireless solutions, you can print from anywhere in your home via Wi-Fi network, and connect without a router through Wi-Fi Direct. Hi-speed USB 2.0 interfaces also comes with this machine. However, there is no Ethernet capability available.

To use this XP-410 with your mobile devices including iPhone, iPad and Android device, you will need the accompanying mobile apps like Epson iPrint. This works well and makes selecting a photo to print easy. There are many options for users to customize how they want their photos to print, no wire needed.

Additionally, it supports AirPrint and Google Cloud Print too. With AirPrint, you can directly print documents from your Apple devices without having to install any software, no set-up needed. While Google Cloud Print allow you to wirelessly print documents from anywhere in the world using your PC or mobile device. You can also share this versatile printer with multiple users without a problem.


Changing the ink cartridge is easy too, there are four individual ink cartridges for different capacities (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black), so you can replace only the color you need, meaning the color ink cartridges are separate, you can save some money on ink too. The print quality delivers crisp, sharp documents and brilliant photos for all projects, thanks to Epson’s instant-drying DURABrite® Ultra ink.
